Experience Designer

Oxygen is a Seattle-based firm that helps companies grow by modernizing sales enablement and workplace education. Key Responsibilities

  • Help develop repeatable methods for the creation and delivery of engagements
  • Support the overall design strategy using Oxygen methodology
  • Apply digital technologies as appropriate (virtual reality, video lectures, games, interactive assessments, instructional videos, eLearning, etc.) to achieve desired learning outcomes for clients
  • Ability to think outside the box, including developing innovative hands-on interactive strategies to keep learners engaged—especially in a virtual setting
  • Partner with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to align content; conduct independent research as needed
  • Design in multiple modalities as assigned, including eLearning, ILT and VILT for various group sizes
  • Design and develop virtual learning and classroom materials including slide decks, activity sheets, facilitator guides

Functional Capabilities

  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content 
  • Work with subject matter experts to identify target audience’s training needs
  • Set instructional goals and create content that matches them
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface, and the finished product
  • Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design 
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Create materials and media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.)
  • Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders
  • Previous working experience in instructional design
  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Visual design skills and knowledge of industry standard design tools
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
