Senior E-Learning Content Designer

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Driven by your desire to enable people to learn, you will be designing engaging learning activities (e-learning/ILT/VILT) and compelling course content using the Oxygen methodology and overall design strategy set by the Lead Learning Consultant. Our ideal candidate also has a strong visual design skillset, including the ability to set UX & UI strategy and carry through to execution.

As a SeniorE-Learning Content Designer, you will be confident working independently with clients in a flexible and adaptable way, while juggling multiple projects and deliverables in a self-directed manner. You will be considered an e-learn expert on the team and focus on the application of digital technologies as appropriate (virtual reality, video lectures, games, interactive assessments, instructional videos, e-learning, etc.), as well as various group sizes necessary to achieve desired learning outcomes for your clients.

  • Collaborate with multiple departments such as Instructional Design, Development, Oxygen’s Creative Studio, Project Management, SMEs, and QA to deliver innovative learning experiences in a timely manner 
  • Be a part of the end-to-end design process for e-learning - storyboard, visual design, development
  • Use Oxygen’s Accelerated Learning Methodology to create all learning materials
  • Work with subject matter experts to identify target audience’s training needs
  • Use defined outcomes for the learning and create content that matches them
  • Work independently with clients, demonstrating strong business acumen and flexibility
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process (included in e-learning or ILT/VILT settings)
  • Conceptualize design solutions through sketches, concept boards, storyboards, and wireframes 
  • Create materials and media for e-learning (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.)
  • Model our agile development process with clients (in meetings, designated workshops, or virtually), incorporating feedback and iterating towards outputs or agreements as needed
  • Coach a team of designers and contractors on design thinking and technical skills
  • Escalate issues effectively and with discretion

YOU’LL LOVE WORKING WITH US IF YOU HAVE: 

  • 4-year degree or equivalent work experience 
  • 5+ years of experience utilizing design thinking and context experience skills including experience with ILT/VILT course design and delivery
  • Solid past consulting experience
  • Desire to enable people to learn
  • Careful attention to tone and presence, and confidence to work independently with clients and lead meetings
  • Ability to think creatively and be innovative 
  • Proven track record of being both strategic and detail focused  
  • Can work in ambiguity 
  • A client-first attitude  
  • Be a trusted team member
  • Strong efficiency in MSFT Office products including PowerPoint & SharePoint 
  • Interactive visual design for custom HTML products and web-based authoring tools, like Storyline and Captivate
  • Experience taking instructional content and creating slick and functional UX & UI as well as infographic-style page layouts, After Effects animations, print collateral, and much more

DETAILS:

Virtual / Remote. Considering W-2, temporary, hourly position (with possibility of extension), or Full-Time, depending on business needs. Ability to work in Pacific Time Zone. Oxygen Experience will offer the successful candidate a competitive base compensation and benefits package. The targeted range for this role is $95,000 to $135,000 annual equivalent ($45.67 to $64.90 hourly). Benefit offerings include 100% paid for medical, dental, and vision coverage and generous coverage for dependents. Oxygen Experience also offers a 401(k) retirement savings plan, Flexible Spending Account, and a generous paid time off (vacation, sick, holidays) program.
